To find the MTRI from Bridgewater: Take exit 13 at Wileville and drive or bicycle 25 km westwards on Highway 325 to Colpton. Turn left and proceed 15 km south-westwards on Highway 208 to South Brookfield. Turn right and proceed 15 km westwards on Highway 8 past Caledonia to Kempt. One kilometer after you see the Kempt sign, Mount Merritt Road and the MTRI will be on your right.

To find the MTRI from Liverpool: Take exit 19 at Liverpool and drive or bicycle 40 km north-westwards on Highway 8 for 50 km through Middlefield and Caledonia to Kempt. One kilometer after you see the Kempt sign, Mount Merritt Road and the MTRI will be on your right.

To find the MTRI from Annapolis Royal: Take exit 22 at Annapolis Royal and drive or bicycle 25 km south-eastwards on Highway 8 for 50 km past Milford and Kejimkujik National Park to Kempt. One kilometer after you see Ringer's Gas Station, the Kempt Art Gallery and the Kempt Community Hall, Mount Merritt Road and the MTRI will be on your left.
